MLB 2K10 Perfect Game Contest

Is anyone else here trying it? I've made it to the ninth inning (or later) THREE times now... the one time I made it past was day one, it seemed too easy then but I was new to the hitting so I couldn't score. I took a perfect game to the 11th inning, former Cardinal Troy Glaus broke it up. I was also robbed of a game-winning, $1 million winning double in the bottom of the ninth. Sunday night I was dominating with Jered Weaver against the Athletics and was absolutely embarrasing them until I hung a 1-1 slider on the outside corner, their guy pulled it down the line to break it up. I was leading 1-0.

Then today, leading 1-0, I make it to the top of the ninth using another former Cardinal, Danny Haren. I got the first out w/ a nasty 2-seamer, so the next guy comes up and I go into attack mode with a split finger, he swings and misses for strike one. I throw another splitter in the dirt, he doesn't chase, then a 2-seamer gets blooped into center and Chris Young couldn't come up with it.

From what I recall, I've made it:

Wow, you've taken perfect games into the 7th or later... a lot.

They probably put in some crazy coding that gives you a .000001% of getting the final out on a perfect game. Do they even have a spare $1,000,000 at 2K Sports? Serious question.

The pitching meter gets so fast once you reach the 7th innings, its basically impossible to throw a perfect pitch. I have reached the 7th inning or later a ton, which is kind of disappointing because pretty much every time I finished the game and the AI only had the one hit. What makes me believe that they've set it up to be pretty much impossible is that they ALWAYS get a bloop hit to left/right center.
